GET AN INTRODUCTION TO UNIVERSITY STUDY.

Not sure what you want to study at university? This Undergraduate Certificate is for you. It is structured to allow you to choose between a range of different courses, setting you on a path to continue your studies in your choice between nine of our most popular Bachelor degrees.

This is how it works: You complete four courses, one of which is Foundations of Mathematics. The remaining three courses include one each in business, the arts and information technology. For each area, you get to choose between two courses, so you can tailor your certificate to your interests.

This Certificate is ideal if you want to get a primer in tertiary study. There is no commitment beyond four courses and you get a qualification that is recognised in the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). If you like the experience, the courses you studied can be credited towards one of the following Bachelor degrees:

This program is designed for students without an undergraduate degree to develop skills in Science, Technology, English and Mathematics, for vocational development and as pathway to a bachelor degree. As a student, you will learn in a tertiary setting in classrooms led by our experienced tutors and lecturers. It's a great opportunity to meet new people and find out what it's like to study a Bachelor degree at university.

Entry requirements

This program is available to Domestic students only.

To be eligible for admission to the Undergraduate Certificate in STEM Foundations, an applicant must have successfully completed Year 12 with a minimum ATAR of 57* with an assumed knowledge of English.

Apply for admission through QTAC

Selection for admission to an undergraduate degree is made on the basis of academic merit.

Selection for admission is competitive as the number of applicants generally exceeds the places available. The minimum requirement for eligibility for admission is completion of Year 12 of secondary school or equivalent academic achievement.

Prerequisites for admission may be specified in terms of levels of achievement in particular Year 12 subjects. Prerequisite conditions may be satisfied by other study or experience which is considered to be equivalent to the Year 12 prerequisites.
