About this course

With this degree, you will have the opportunity to extend your studio expertise. You will identify challenges, explore innovative solutions and advance your understanding of the concepts underlying your work and the context in which it is produced. As a graduate, you will be able to demonstrate high performance levels in your studio practice, and have developed a strong theoretical understanding of that practice.

Entry requirements

The criteria for admission to this program are as follows:

Students will be admitted on the basis of a portfolio of work and a written submission outlining the theme or issue that the studio research will address and
Completion of a four-year undergraduate degree or three years plus Honours in an appropriate visual art or design discipline with a proven research component equal to a minimum of 40CP or practitioners with substantial experience and a corresponding exhibition record will also be considered (their written submission should include discussion of the research nature of the visual work they have produced).
