A huge number of challenges thrown out by rapid developments in science and technology have made me choose engineering as a profession. I would like to take this opportunity to describe my educational background and career objectives which have motivated me to pursue a career in the petroleum industry.
I did my senior secondary from SBOA School, Chennai and higher secondary from International Indian School, Riyadh. I joined my bachelor's degree in petrochemical engineering at JCT College of engineering and technology, India. During my undergraduate study period, I did a project on the enhancement of thermal performance in plate type heat exchanger using CaO fluid. Moreover, I have also attended many workshops on various topics like 'Emerging trends in unit processes in petrochemical industries at Bharathidasan Institute of Technology. And a workshop on the topics 'Oil and Gas pipelines' and 'Challenges of high pressure and high-temperature regimes in oil and gas fields at the University College of Engineering. My interest in this field made me concentrate more on this particular course. Thus, I wish to focus and to achieve speciality in the field of petroleum engineering.
I became fascinated with the production of oil and the manner in which drilling for such a widely available resource has become so difficult in recent years. It is truly an engineering marvel to see companies drilling deep into the sea to obtain a natural resource. I want to be part of a new age where engineers are constantly pushing the boundaries in an effort to be cleaner, more efficient and extract the value of our world's depleting resources. I believe that a Master`s program is the right start to achieve a fruitful personal career in the future of my life, to increase a practical technical knowledge with petroleum engineering and simulation which enable me to make a change in the industry.
