About this course

Outline Outline

This specialisation is appropriate for students with an existing chemistry background and interest. It covers major chemical extraction processes and how ore characteristics govern process selection and operation. Students will gain experience regarding various metal extraction systems and their benefits and limitations as well as linkages to mineralogy and other processing units. This growing field will be key moving forward as metal demand for a diverse range of commodities and applications grows rapidly and this specialisation is ideal for students interested in sustainable chemical processing in the minerals and metal production industry.
