About this course

Outline Outline

Through a series of practical design projects and exercises held within a digital environment, this specialisation introduces you to industry standard design technologies and software.

You'll learn the fundamental principles and technical processes of illustration design, including the visualisation and communication of narrative concepts, developing your abilities as a skilled technical practitioner and visual communicator.

You'll be introduced to the foundations of 3D modelling, texturing and rendering in a digital environment and work on a multi-phase project that encompasses the conceptual and technical fundamentals of 3D design.

For your final unit, you will have the option of studying a unit that focuses on graphics for the built environment or graphics for urban and regional planning.

What's a specialisation?

A specialisation is a set of four units you can choose to complement your course. Most Curtin courses allow you to choose a specialisation from any academic area. Humanities specialisations, like this one, can give a useful balance to a course from business, law, science, engineering or health disciplines. Learn more about specialisations
