About this course

Outline Outline

This extension specialisation would suit chemical engineering students who have an interest in the chemistry of natural and synthetic materials and chemical engineering processes. It provides the opportunity for students to learn more about materials selection, but also the opportunity to gain interdisciplinary experience in medicines and natural products, or manufacturing processes. Students will also have the opportunity to learn advanced processing techniques related to particles, and tools for better process integration and optimisation.

What you'll learn
  • Demonstrate a conceptual understanding of fundamental science, mathematics, data analytics, information science, sustainability principles and/or computing, GC1
  • Solve chemical engineering problems of industrial and societal significance via innovative and creative design or research, working individually or in teams, GC2
  • Select and use current and emerging technologies to develop and communicate effective and innovative chemical engineering solutions to complex problems, GC3
