Purpose: To provide financial support to students enrolled in an environmental course at Charles Darwin University and to honour George’s contribution to the environmental development of Darwin.
Payment: $1,500
Duration: Two (2) semesters
Work placement: The recipient will also be offered vocational employment with City of Darwin in semester breaks during the year of the scholarship.

Eligibility criteria:
- Must be enrolled in a Higher Education Environmental Science course or a VET course specialising in horticulture, land management or environmental science
- Must be a resident of the Northern Territory
- Must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa
