This workshop is designed for people who have not welded before and covers the following topics:

  • Personal and work-related safety
  • Basic understanding of the manual metal welding process
  • Setting up the welding machine
  • Preparation of the steel to be welded
  • Learning to weld at various angles and positions
  • Identifying various weld faults and their cause

An LLN assessment will be conducted prior to, or soon after, enrolment to determine whether students have any LLN support requirements which must be addressed. There are no additional entry requirements.
