This course provides an overview of the discipline of IT, including:

  • the historical perspectives
  • fundamental concepts of computation
  • its relationship with other computing disciplines

Specific learning includes computer and system's architecture, specific to services and capabilities that IT infrastructure solutions provide in an organisational context.

Objective:

  • Equips students with the appropriate skills to troubleshoot hardware problems for a computer
  • Provide an introduction to web development technologies, including basic XHTML and CSS
