Masters (Coursework)
The Master of Educational Studies offers a flexible one and a half year postgraduate degree with a wide range of opportunities and choices available to graduates. It offers flexibility in education career options, such as vacation care, homework centres, tutoring in private colleges and home tutoring. It also gives those candidates with an interest in education the option of studying a broad range of Education subjects relating to education as a discipline (non-teaching).
This course is not a professional teaching qualification. It allows students flexibility in the construction of a course of study that they consider will best meet their future needs.
There is no direct entry into this course. This course is only available as an internal course transfer from the Master of Teaching (STCH01), Master of Teaching Early Childhood (STCHE1), Master of Teaching Primary (STCHP1) or the Master of Teaching Secondary (STCHS1). Students must complete a minimum of 80 credit points in the Master of Teaching, Master of Teaching Early Childhood, Master of Teaching Primary or the Master of Teaching Secondary to be eligible to apply for transfer.
This course offers students the opportunity to course transfer, after obtaining 80 credit points in their previous study, to then complete 3 core units in with a research focus.
