This two-day short course covers:
* Operation of side-by-side utility vehicles including the conduct of pre- and post-operational checks
* Operate vehicles in a safe, efficient and controlled manner
* Perform minor maintenance and fault finding
This short course applies to individuals who operate utility vehicles and bikes to undertake routine work under general supervision, with limited autonomy and accountability.
To ensure you have the right skills and support to succeed in your course, a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LL&N) evaluation helps identify any areas where you may need additional support to help you achieve your goals.
To gain entry into VTP461 ATV, UTV and Bikes, candidates are required to be aged 16 years or above.
To achieve the vocational training program VTP461 ATV, UTV and Bikes a total of three (3) units of competency must be completed as listed below.
Possible occupations relevant to this qualification include: a range of industry areas in remote settings (e.g. agriculture, horticulture, research, mining, natural area management, and tourism).
