About this course

This microcredential course will empower you to critically examine current healthcare practices to innovate and drive improvement in your workplace.

Translational simulation employs diverse simulation techniques for healthcare improvement. The approach is twofold - exploring team and system performance in complex healthcare environments and testing planned changes in physical space or clinical processes.

In this course you will learn to design and deliver translational simulation programs focused on improving system performance, and apply these techniques to their local context. You will learn to apply translational simulation approaches to diverse healthcare challenges - designing healthcare spaces and processes, building teams and shaping culture, and delivering safer care. You will also evaluate simulation modalities and delivery options in designing translational simulation programs and facilitate learning conversations that support performance improvement.

The course is delivered over 12 weeks via a series of self-paced online modules, coaching sessions and two one-day workshops.

Upon successfully completing the course and the assessments, you will receive an Official Academic Transcript and 10 Bond credit points, which are claimable towards a postgraduate degree in Healthcare Innovations.
