Undergraduate Certificate in Accounting

This Undergraduate Certificate gives students foundational knowledge of core business disciplines, with special focus on financial and economic theory. It also provides broad base knowledge of the specialised mathematical and statistical skills required by the accounting discipline.

Learning Outcomes include:

• Theoretical and technical knowledge of core business disciplines.
• Analysis of business situations within a framework of theoretical knowledge.
• Application of learned skills with initiative, judgement and personal responsibility.

Upon completion, students may choose to continue their studies with the Bachelor of International Business (Accounting major), which has been accredited by the Certified Practising Accountants in Australia (CPA Australia) and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ). Students will receive 24 credit points of advanced standing into the Bachelor degree and exemption from equivalent units in that course.
