Bachelor of Cyber Security

Cyber Security is the practice of protecting electronic data systems from criminal or unauthorised attacks. Cyber Security serves as a preventative measure to defend confidential data and protect data processes and procedures from unwanted breaches. Cyber Security has become an increasingly important field within the business world, with governments acknowledging the significant threat cyber-attacks pose. Cyber-attacks threaten everyone - individuals, organisations, and governments, so there is every indication that these threats will continue and increase in frequency and sophistication.

Course Learning Outcomes

This course includes the following Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs):

a) CLO 2-Use research skills to critically evaluate existing cyber security knowledge and practices to explore contemporary and future ICT landscapes for vulnerabilities and cyber threats
b) CLO 3-Apply creative thinking to core ICT concepts
c) CLO 4-Communicate ICT concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
d) CLO 5-Function effectively and work collaboratively as an ICT team member
