Entry requirements

Minimum entry requirements

Must have completed one of:

  • A bachelor's degree OR
  • Graduate diploma OR
  • Relevant professional qualification or professional experience approved to be equivalent to a bachelor's degree

AND

  • Have a minimum of five years of relevant professional experience since gaining the degree or other qualification

Applicants who do not have a tertiary qualification are expected to provide evidence of relevant professional experience deemed, by the Assessment Board, to be equivalent to an undergraduate degree. This would typically be 10 years work experience of which 3-4 is in a supervisory or management capacity. Candidates may also be required to complete an aptitude test and/or attend an interview.

Course structure

To graduate with a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration you must successfully complete 120 points of Master of Business Administration (MBA) courses (excluding BUSS991 and BUSS992).

Each course involves eight weeks of class learning, with one three-hour class per week followed by an examination week. You can start at any one of four entry points in the year.

Progressing to the MBA

You can progress to the MBA by applying to the MBA Director and completing a further 60 points.

You are required to obtain a B- grade average in the Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration to be considered for the MBA.
