To graduate with an MBA you must successfully complete 180 points, made up of core courses (120 points) and elective courses (60 points).
You can choose how many courses you take per term to fit around work demands and personal commitments, provided you complete the qualification within four years. You can continue working full-time while completing your MBA part-time.
All courses are 10 points unless stated otherwise. Each course involves eight weeks of class learning; one three-hour class per week. This is followed by an examination week then a one-week preparation period for the following term. You can start the MBA at any one of the four terms.
You can also complete elective courses at one of AUT's international business school partners or complete a special topic course in a relevant area, subject to the approval of the MBA Director. There are opportunities to work with start-up companies or for you to develop your own business idea or project.
The outcomes for graduates of the MBA are outlined in the Graduate Profile below.
