This one-year certificate gives you a taste of university life, and helps you develop the knowledge and skills for further study at bachelor's level.

Students who complete this certificate successfully can apply for bachelor's degrees in engineering, and computer and mathematical sciences.
There are three pathways:
All students complete the Academic Literacies course. Your other courses will be chosen to complement your pathway and the entry requirements of your proposed future degree studies. For example, engineering students focus on physics and mathematics, and computing students cover mathematics, problem solving and programming.
You study the following course:LSKL401 Academic Literacies (15 points)
Choose seven courses (105 points) from:COMP400 Foundation Programming (15 points)
COMP401 Foundation Problem Solving (15 points)
ENGE400 Introduction to Engineering (15 points)
LSKL403 Tertiary English and Critical Thinking (15 points)
MATH400 Foundation Mathematics (15 points)
MATH401 Foundation Algebra (15 points)
MATH402 Foundation Calculus (15 points)
MATH403 Foundation Maths and Design (15 points)
PHYS400 Foundation Physics A (15 points)
PHYS401 Foundation Physics B (15 points)
STAT400 Foundation Statistics (15 points)
