Entry Requirements
To gain entry into VTP511 Operate and Maintain Chainsaws, candidates are required to:
be 16 years or older and physically capable of using a chainsaw; and
not be attending secondary school; and
be able to demonstrate appropriate language, literacy, and numeracy skills and knowledge to undertake this course. This is demonstrated if you have completed a qualification deemed equivalent to an Australian Year 11 or higher, Australian Certificate III or higher, or by completing a Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) assessment.
