Entry Requirements
Employed as an apprentice in the civil construction industry or related business with a apprenticeship training contract in place and signed by Holmesglen / Apprentice / Employer. Must hold WorkSafe Victoria construction industry induction white card. Holmesglen will provide the industry card training at an additional cost if required. The required LLN levels for this qualification are Reading: 3, Writing: 2 and Numeracy: 4 to ensure candidates/apprentices can conduct the following tasks: Use and interpret vocabulary specific and workplace procedures to communicate with other workplace personnel. Complete a Safe Work Method Statement to include other work being conducted at the work place, including a site plan for underground surfaces. Interpret documentation that includes technical specificity to workplace procedures, inspection and safe use of plant and safety equipment, including emergency plan workplace signage. Calculate soil types, weights and cubic metres.
Apprentices must complete a BKSB Literacy and Numeracy assessment before enrolment.
There are no prerequisites for this qualification.
