Applicants will need to attend a selection interview conducted by a TasTAFE teacher and a NECA representative.
It is a legal requirement that all persons operating a VHF Marine Radio hold a Short Range Radio Operator Certificate of Proficiency or SROCP. This includes recreational vessels as well as commercial operators.
Apprentices must have a Registered Training Agreement with their employer, It is recommended school leaver students complete the pre-apprenticeship pathway (Certificate II) prior to enrolling, or complete a pre-training assessment for literacy and numeracy of BKSB assessment with an outcome of ACSF exit level 2, working level 3
Chisholm's Bachelor of Engineering Technology is accredited with Engineers Australia, the peak body for the engineering profession in Australia. Local and interstate applicants are welcome to apply but must meet the entry requirements.

This unit has a pre-requisite requirement. This requirement may be met by either the successful completion of the unit CPCCLDG3001 Licence to perform dogging or holding a valid licence for dogging.
Students will be required to apply for enrolment. A starter pack will be forwarded to the student, this will include a Pre-Training Review (PTR) requiring completion, to ensure students suitability for this training. An invitation to complete an online Enrolment Form will be forwarded to the student to complete the enrolment process. Enrolments will need to be complete tendays prior to delivery.

The Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Career Start) is a pre-apprenticeship electrical course, providing an introduction to the electrical/electronics industries in areas such as electrical, renewable energy, air conditioning/refrigeration and instrumentation.

Holmesglen recommends learners have a minimum of Year 10 level English and Mathematics; Year 11 is highly recommended. This course is not recommended if you find mathematics at this level challenging.

The Bachelor of Construction Management and Economics is a four-year degree designed to meet the professional requirements for accreditation by the Australian Institute of Building and the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors. No longer accepting new students into this course.

Entry Requirements
Employed as an apprentice in the civil construction industry or related business with a apprenticeship training contract in place and signed by Holmesglen / Apprentice / Employer. Must hold WorkSafe Victoria construction industry induction white card. Holmesglen will provide the industry card training at an additional cost if required. The required LLN levels for this qualification are Reading: 3, Writing: 2 and Numeracy: 4 to ensure candidates/apprentices can conduct the following tasks: Use and interpret vocabulary specific and workplace procedures to communicate with other workplace personnel. Complete a Safe Work Method Statement to include other work being conducted at the work place, including a site plan for underground surfaces. Interpret documentation that includes technical specificity to workplace procedures, inspection and safe use of plant and safety equipment, including emergency plan workplace signage. Calculate soil types, weights and cubic metres.
Apprentices must complete a BKSB Literacy and Numeracy assessment before enrolment.
There are no prerequisites for this qualification.

The Operate Elevated Work Platforms (up to 11m), is designed for all employees working in civil construction operating roles. It provides the skills and knowledge to competently and safely operate an elevated work platform on which personnel, equipment and materials may be elevated to perform work.
Entry Requirements
Participants need to hold a White Card or have the competency of CPCWHS1001 - Prepare to work safely in the construction industry. Minimum age is 17 years old or demonstrated work experience if age is under 17.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Long pants, long sleeve shirt and safety boots to be worn during training.
