This course provides training for automotive electrical apprentices to repair and maintain the electrical systems and components of cars and other vehicles. You must be an apprentice or trainee to enrol in this course.
Entry Requirements
If you are entering this program as an apprentice/trainee you must: - be employed in the auto industry - be an Apprentice or Trainee under the Australian Apprenticeship
Scheme (AAS) and be registered with an Apprentice Network Provider (ANP) prior to enrolment. If you already have skills in this area, you may seek recognition for all or part of this program.
The model of block release delivery is available to apprentices who are currently employed in the automotive industry and will attend for approx. 3 days per monthly.
Got your sights set on a career as automotive light vehicle mechanic? The Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology's model of day release is available to apprentices who are currently employed in the automotive industry to attend a TAFE Gippsland campus one day per week.

The Operate Elevated Work Platforms (up to 11m), is designed for all employees working in civil construction operating roles. It provides the skills and knowledge to competently and safely operate an elevated work platform on which personnel, equipment and materials may be elevated to perform work.
Entry Requirements
Participants need to hold a White Card or have the competency of CPCWHS1001 - Prepare to work safely in the construction industry. Minimum age is 17 years old or demonstrated work experience if age is under 17.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Long pants, long sleeve shirt and safety boots to be worn during training.
A pre-training review will determine your suitability to the course.

Entrance requirements for traineeships
You must be employed in a training contract by an appropriate organisation to study an apprenticeship or traineeship.
In a traineeship you also gain hands-on skills and work experience, and improve your employment prospects, while earning a wage. On successful completion you will gain a nationally recognised qualification which can lead to rewarding career options. The difference between a traineeship and an apprenticeship is that a traineeship can be either a full time or part time employment based training arrangement, usually for a nominal duration of 12 months or more, generally in a non-trade related area.

This course trains novice operators in the skills required to enter the industry as a certified excavator operator. The course covers: * Plan and prepare for hydraulic excavator operations; * Operate hydraulic excavator; * Carry out operator maintenance; and * Carry out housekeeping activities.

Adequate literacy and numeracy skills to complete the written component of the assessment. If you have language, numeracy or literacy concerns, please discuss them with us before the course starts.
