The Postgraduate Diploma in Arts Subjects (PGDipArts) requires two semesters of full-time, or its equivalent in part-time, study. It entails a structured programme of postgraduate coursework and, in some instances, a piece of supervised research that counts for one or two of the required papers.

Admission to the programme shall be subject to the approval of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Humanities).
Every applicant shall
either have been admitted to the degree of Bachelor of Arts majoring in the subject or subjects of study proposed;
or have been admitted with the status of one who is entitled to proceed to the diploma;
or have a qualification acceptable to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor and produce evidence satisfactory to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of ability to proceed to the diploma.
This course provides training in selecting, installing, setting up, testing, fault finding, repairing and maintenance of electronic equipment and devices at component/sub-assembly level. There are elective options in radio frequency and security.

If you are entering this program as an apprentice/trainee you must: * be employed in industry * be an Apprentice or Trainee under the Australian Apprenticeship Scheme (AAS) and be registered with an Australian Apprenticeship Centre (AAC) prior to enrolment.
This program has pre-requisite requirements as shown below. All prerequisites must be achieved. Discuss with a CIT teacher during enrolment to ensure you have met these requirements.
To study any course at CIT (excluding degrees and non-accredited training) you must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).
The Master of Arts (Coursework) programme is designed to give students the skills sought-after by employers around the globe, with a balance of specific subject knowledge plus broad-based transferable skills - such as oral and written communication, and analytical skills.

Applicants must normally have achieved an average grade of at least B in the papers at the highest level in the programme.
The Bachelor of Arts with Honours (BA(Hons)) degree is an academically demanding programme.

be a graduate with an average grade of at least B+ for the appropriate 300-level papers, or
have alternative qualifications or experience acceptable to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Humanities).
Applicants seeking admission to the programme of study comprising the 120-point thesis only on the basis of completing the degree of Bachelor of Arts with Honours or the Postgraduate Diploma in Arts Subjects or equivalent must:
have undertaken a programme of study that provides adequate preparation for the thesis, and
have achieved a grade of at least a B+ for the research report, thesis preparation, dissertation requirement, or relevant preparatory papers of the qualification concerned.
