    Additional entry requirements Applicants must also attend an audition involving participation in Classical Ballet, Contemporary Dance Technique, Repertory and Improvisation. The Audition Panel, comprising lecturing staff of the Adelaide College of the Arts and Flinders University and a physiotherapist, will assess and score each student. This score will form part of the non-academic criteria for admission at both TAFE SA and Flinders University. Applicants will be mailed an audition pack by TAFE SA once an application has been submitted and will be contacted to book an audition time. Download brochure Admission pathways Applicants can apply for this course using Year 12 qualifications, previous Higher Education study, TAFE/VET qualifications, or through Adult Entry (STAT/Foundation Studies/tertiary preparation course). For applicants using their SACE (Year 12) results (or equivalent), entry is subject to achieving a minimum selection rank of 60. Applicants who do not meet the University’s minimum entry requirements may still be considered for admission subject to meeting certain conditions. Applicants will start in the TAFE component and upon completing the equivalent of a Certificate III/Diploma (for example) will have their University offer confirmed.     Academic requirements

    You must have completed at least one of the following:

    • At least 3 'C' passes in the New Zealand University Bursaries Examinations; Or
    • 42 credits at NCEA Level 3 or higher including:
      • 14 credits in two different approved subjects; and
      • 14 credits from up to two subjects (approved or non-approved)
      • 14 credits in NCEA Level 1 or higher in Mathematics or Pangarau
    And meet one of the English entry requirements;
    • University Entrance Literacy: 8 credits at Level 2 or above in English or Maori (4 in Reading, 4 in Writing); or
    • Evidence of English language proficiency as outlined in the NZQA Rules on the Unitec English Language Requirements for International Students Web-page.

    International students Academic requirements

    As a part of this requirement, you must be at least 16 years of age and meet one of the country-specific admission requirement;

    And meet English entry requirements;

    If English is not your first language, you will also need at least one of the following qualifications:

    • Evidence of an IELTS (Academic) band score of at least 6 with no band score lower than 5.5
    • University Entrance Literacy: 8 credits at Level 2 or above in English or Maori (4 in Reading, 4 in Writing); or
    • Evidence of English language proficiency as outlined in the NZQA Rules on the Unitec English Language Requirements for International Students Web-page.

    Assumed Knowledge

    You are encouraged to study performing arts units during your senior school years. Private tuition in performing arts is also encouraged. These performing arts studies may include music, singing, drama, dance (ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary ballet) and technical theatre. However, it is not essential that you have formally studied all of these performing arts areas before auditioning for this course.
