The PGCertMaterialsEng is aimed at those who aspire to a career in materials processing and production, manufacturing, new materials deployment and development disciplines either in a technical or management role. It is best suited to those looking to upskill quickly within their field.
Materials engineering challenges us to discover and design new materials that look in detail at the structure, properties and performance of basic resources that make up the world. Innovations in this space are often at the core of new technologies that change the way we live.
Gain the chemical engineering skills to design and implement industrial-scale processes that convert raw materials into valuable products we use every day at Australia's leading university*. Join the ranks of engineers working on cleaner biofuels, water and targeted drug delivery.
High-achieving students can undertake a program of study in chemical sciences and materials engineering in only five years with this degree combination. It prepares you with a broad-based foundation in chemistry before continuing to the masters, which provides an understanding of advanced processing and fabrication methods of engineering materials and their characterisation.
