QUT College Diploma in Engineering
QUT College Diploma in Engineering graduates will automatically receive an offer to start the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) within three weeks after completion of the diploma. You will also automatically receive 1 year (96 credit points) credit transfer and be able to complete the degree in 3 years as a full-time student.
If you enrol in a QTAC offer in the following dual TAFE-Qld Brisbane/QUT award you will automatically receive a QUT conditional offer in June (semester 1 QTAC offer) or October (semester 2 QTAC offer) after your enrolment at TAFE-Qld Brisbane is confirmed.
Upon completion of the TAFE-Qld courses you will be able to enrol at QUT. You will also automatically receive 1 year (96 credit points) credit transfer and be able to complete the degree in 3 years as a full-time student if you complete the advanced diploma

Entry Requirements
To be eligible for entry, you must have successfully completed one of the following combinations of qualification and relevant work experience. For all qualifications, a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 out of 4.0, or a minimum of 60% average, is required.
Bachelor Honours (Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) level 8) in aerospace engineering or aviation.
OR
Bachelor (AQF level 7) in aerospace engineering or aviation and two years of relevant work experience.
OR
Bachelor Honours (AQF level 8) in a non-cognate area and five years of relevant work experience including one year at manager level.
OR
Bachelor (AQF level 7) in a non-cognate area and seven years of relevant work experience including one year at manager level.
OR
A minimum of ten years of relevant work experience.
Note: Aerospace engineering and equivalent areas (aeronautical engineering, avionics engineering, etc.) and aviation and equivalent areas (aviation management, air transport management, etc.) are considered to be cognate areas.
Qualifications are provided with the corresponding AQF level, and international qualifications are assessed according to this framework. Equivalent qualifications to those stated will also be considered, e.g. if you have been certified by Engineers Australia as a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng), this is considered equivalent to a Bachelor Honours (AQF level 8) in Engineering. Similarly, if you have been certified by Engineers Australia as a Chartered Engineering Technologist (CEngT), this is considered equivalent to a Bachelor (AQF level 7) in Engineering.
Relevant work experience is considered to be in aviation or a related industry. In some cases it is required that work experience is at manager level. Applicants applying on the basis of any work experience must provide a letter from their employer(s) (or equivalent) verifying their roles and the duration of these. Years of work experience are considered in terms of full-time equivalence.

This program provides students with advanced study in engineering project management. It is designed to extend and deepen the knowledge and skills gained from an undergraduate degree in engineering.
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for admission to Master of Engineering Project Management Advanced, a student must hold:
a Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent three year or four year Engineering undergraduate degree from a recognised university (or another tertiary education institution of equivalent standing)
OR a Bachelor Honours degree in Engineering or equivalent four year Engineering undergraduate degree from a recognised university (or another tertiary education institution of equivalent standing)
OR a Graduate Certificate in Engineering Project Management.
Students admitted to the program with a Bachelor Honours degree in Engineering or equivalent four year Engineering undergraduate degree or a Graduate Certificate in Engineering Project Management will be eligible for 40 credit points of advanced standing towards the program. The following degrees are considered to be equivalent to a Bachelor Honours degree in Engineering:
four year Engineering undergraduate degree that includes a significant final year research project component (one semester thesis) from an Australian university;
four year Engineering undergraduate degree that includes a significant final year research project component (one semester thesis) from a NOOSR Section 1 University.
Note: Students currently enrolled in the Master of Engineering Project Management (5660) will be eligible to transfer to the Master of Engineering Project Management Advanced prior to graduation. Graduates of the Master of Engineering Project Management (5660) are not eligible for admission to this program.

You must be employed in a training contract by an appropriate organisation to study an apprenticeship or traineeship.
In a traineeship you also gain hands-on skills and work experience, and improve your employment prospects, while earning a wage. On successful completion you will gain a nationally recognised qualification which can lead to rewarding career options. The difference between a traineeship and an apprenticeship is that a traineeship can be either a full time or part time employment based training arrangement, usually for a nominal duration of 12 months or more, generally in a non-trade related area.
