Offered in collaboration with TAFE SA* through Adelaide College of the Arts, this degree will equip you with elite professional dance skills and theoretical knowledge. You will cover areas such as dance technique, devised movement practices, dance project realisation, choreography and stage performance, and emerge with all the makings of a successful professional dancer.

Additional entry requirements Applicants must also attend an audition involving participation in Classical Ballet, Contemporary Dance Technique, Repertory and Improvisation. The Audition Panel, comprising lecturing staff of the Adelaide College of the Arts and Flinders University and a physiotherapist, will assess and score each student. This score will form part of the non-academic criteria for admission at both TAFE SA and Flinders University. Applicants will be mailed an audition pack by TAFE SA once an application has been submitted and will be contacted to book an audition time. Individuals must provide evidence of their technical and organisational skills to conceptualise and create works in selected visual arts media via portfolio submission and interview prior to enrolment.
Skills and knowledge may have been acquired through experience in creative practice or formal study such as a completion of a Certificate IV in Visual Arts CUA41320 or its predecessor.
Students who have achieved a Skill Set from the Certificate IV can progress to the same Diploma Skill Set. EG: Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Digital Art with discussion and approval of the teacher.
