The BTchLn has one intake each February. Selection for entry is based on:
Involvement and interest in working with children, community involvement, and other personal qualities as outlined in the Guide to Applying
a police check, referees' reports, and an interview
a short literacy and numeracy test
communication skills.
Those wanting to enrol in the Matauranga Maori endorsement will also need to hui with the Endorsement Coordinator to determine the right starting point for you based on your level of te reo Maori.

Applications are open throughout the year and close 1 December for domestic students, or 31 October for international students, to begin studies in February.

The Bachelor of Maori Innovation (BMINN) was created for the next generation of graduates who want to evolve our nation and future thinking through both Western and indigenous worldviews.

The BMINN is open to enrolments in 2024.
The BMINN is open to those with work in the iwi sector, which can include organisations owned by Maori, or a dedicated Kaupapa Maori team or unit within an organisation or government.
Your employer will need to provide verification of your employment, and a partnership agreement with UC to make sure you have support for both your study commitments and workload.

Recommended preparation
First year courses in the BMINN are introductory and no previous knowledge is required.
Strong communication skills and a passion for te ao Maori will be useful for your studies.
Financial engineering is a cross-disciplinary field combining financial and economic theory with the mathematical and computational tools needed to design and develop financial products, portfolios, markets, and regulations.
Entry Requirements
To enrol in the Master of Financial Engineering you should have:
a bachelor's degree with a B+ Grade Point Average in 300-level courses; and
completed specified 200-level MATH and STAT courses (or equivalent courses); and
been approved to enrol.
If you have a minimal statistics and finance background, you may be required to take FIEC601 Quantitative Finance and Economics in January-February before enrolling.

The Bachelor of Business offers students a sound background in all areas of business through common core subjects, in addition to in-depth knowledge in one or more chosen areas of interest. This course provides a basic understanding of important aspects of business with a choice of majors.
In this course you will examine project management and its processes, including history, definitions, attributes, body of knowledge, objectives and success. You'll explore the characteristics and activities of the project life cycle, along with the functions of planning, organisation and control.
The Certificate in Commerce (CertCom) is an option if you want to add commerce content alongside your non-commerce degree, or do not want to study the full Bachelor of Commerce degree.

This course is designed to extend theoretical knowledge and associated techniques to a higher level. Students focus on one of the three areas, although coursework and research may be carried out in both areas.
This course will equip you with the understanding, knowledge and skills needed to work as a project manager in a variety of industries. Project management is a distinct professional discipline with its own body of knowledge, skills, tools and techniques.
Note: The MSCH is currently not open to new enrolments. Social awareness is becoming more integrated in all manners of government and business. We need effective change-makers who have the know-how and the professional skills to better our systems and social outcomes.

The BDigiScreen(Hons) is open to anyone who gains entry to the University and no previous experience is required. All subjects are introductory, and your first year will cover broad experiences creating content across film, gaming, and digital media industries.
Some knowledge and passion for cinema, creative writing, sound or art design, or video game development will be especially useful.
The Certificate in Youth and Community Leadership (CertYCL) builds on UC's expertise and reputation for humanitarian work and social activism.

Recommended preparation
The programme is open to anyway from a range of interests or experience in leadership roles. No particular background study is required. A passion for social change, community work, and volunteering is the best preparation.
