    The Tertiary Enabling Program (TEP) is an alternative pathway into university, sometimes referred to as a bridging course. It's a free program that helps you build the academic skills, knowledge and confidence to study at university in as little as 16 weeks.

    • you must be 17 or over by the census date of the relevant semester.

    The Bachelor of Health Science/Master of Speech and Language Therapy is a four-year program that will qualify you to work as a speech pathologist within the Australian healthcare system.

    Entry Requirements

    Admission requirements are met by one of the following:

    • Successful completion of the Northern Territory Certificate of Education and Training (or equivalent) and the awarding of an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) of at least 70*.
    • Successful completion of a national qualification at Certificate IV level or higher.
    • Successful completion of at least 0.5 year of full-time study (or equivalent) of a higher education degree/diploma with a GPA of at least 5.
    • Overseas secondary or tertiary qualifications considered equivalent to the above Australian qualifications.
    • Attainment of a STAT Multiple Choice score of 147.
    • Successful completion of the Tertiary Enabling Program or the Preparation for Tertiary Success courses of at least 12 months duration.

    The Bachelor of Clinical Sciences course is a direct pathway for CDU students to study medicine, on campus in Darwin. This course is part of a double degree with the Northern Territory Medical Program (NTMP) offered by Flinders University.

    Entry Requirements

    You are eligible to apply for the Bachelor of Clinical Science if you:

    - hold year 12 qualifications and have studied no more than one year of higher education; and

    - have completed the University Clinical Aptitude Test for Australia and New Zealand (UCAT ANZ) held in July and August

    Priority is given to First Nations and NT residents. An alternative admission pathway is available for First Nations students, for more information contact foh@cdu.edu.au. Please note, UCAT is not required for applications under the First Nations Entry Application Process. When asked for your UCAT number (if you have not sat the UCAT) please enter ANZ00000000 while applying through SATAC.

    The UCAT comprises of five sections; verbal reasoning, decision making, quantitative reasoning, abstract reasoning and situational judgement. Each section of the UCAT will contribute equally to produce the UCAT ANZ derived score. Your UCAT derived score (10%) will be combined with your Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) (90%) to determine your ranking for a place on this course.

    In order to be competitive, you will need to achieve an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) of 90 or above, 85 for indigenous students (after the addition of any applicable ATAR related adjustment factors).

    To gain entry into CUA40420 Certificate IV in Live Production and Technical Services, candidates are required to:

    • Undertake a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment to determine applicable support requirements.
    • Be fit, active and able to function effectively in a tropical environment, as this is a physically demanding course.
    • Produce a body of work demonstrating the ability to respond effectively to workplace requirements associated with live production and technical services in line with current industry standards.
    • Apply a basic knowledge of trends and traditions in at least one area of technical production.
    • To study part-time students are required to be engaged in the industry.

    Skills and knowledge may have been acquired through experience or formal study. All pre-requisite qualifications and experience will be assessed at a pre-enrolment interview.

    There are no entry requirements for this qualification, although students will be encouraged to seek employment or work experience in a commercial bakery to expand on their learning.

    A basic level of maths and English is required. All applicants will need to complete a language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) assessment to show that they have an appropriate level of LLN skills to participate successfully in the course and to identify any support needs.

    Applicants are to attend a formal interview with the course coordinator to determine suitability for the course and that they have a clear understanding of the course requirements.

    To participate in this program you must be 17 years or over and completed at least Year 10 or equivalent. If you are a mature person without completion of Year 10, you can still apply based on your skills and experience.

    Students in the program will be supported through peer-to-peer learning and mentoring.
