To enter the Postgraduate Diploma in Fine Arts you will :
have gained a relevant bachelor's degree with a grade average that demonstrates an adequate level of preparation
be selected into the programme through an interview and the assessment of a portfolio of submitted work
have an appropriate level of English language proficiency.
You will need to submit verified copies of all academic transcripts for studies taken at all universities other than Massey University.
Build on your successes in the Bachelor of Arts by completing Honours to enhance essential employability skills in research, critical evaluation, problem-solving and oral and written communication.Honours combines coursework and research in your chosen study area.
Challenge yourself through a degree that broadens your skill set and advances your career prospects. The Master of Arts (Advanced Seminar and Shorter Thesis) provides you the flexibility to pursue an area of humanities and social sciences that interests you.
Explore and debate the changes in modern issues that concern you, and work toward implementing the changes you want to see. The Graduate Certificate in Arts (Advanced) degree is a 50-point course in one area of specialisation.
The Bachelor of Arts (Extended) is a four-year degree for Australian Indigenous students which provides a pathway to careers that build on a strong Arts background.

submit a portfolio (if you do well in NCEA Level 2 art, design or technology - or equivalent - you may not need to submit a portfolio. See details below.)

To be admitted to the Graduate Diploma in Fine Arts you will:
have been awarded or qualified for a bachelor's degree, or equivalent, or
have demonstrated equivalent practical, professional and/or scholarly experience.
You will also need to:
take part in an interview at which you demonstrate readiness to undertake your desired course of study
submit a satisfactory portfolio of work to show you are at the standard necessary to undertake work up to 300-level and beyond
provide verified copies of all academic transcripts for studies taken at all universities.
Challenge yourself in a degree that broadens your skillset and advances your career prospects. The Master of Arts (Thesis Only) lets you showcase your ability to present and argue a coherent hypothesis on your chosen issue, as supported by research and analysis.
Use the conceptual frameworks in your area of study to develop the analytical and critical capacities you need to apply to the contemporary issues facing your chosen field. This program enables you to gain practical skills that can be applied through internships and placements.
