Entry Requirements
To enter the Certificate of Proficiency (Student Exchange) you will:
have completed at least one year of successful university level study in your home country
have permission from your home university to undertake study at Massey University
have a cumulative GPA for all higher education work of 2.75 (on a 4.0 scale) or equivalent.
Note: The Science pathway and Creative Arts pathway of this programme may have an on-campus or in-person requirement and therefore requires that students submit a current My Vaccine Pass on enrolment.
Entry Requirements
To enter the Certificate in Foundation Studies you will:
have completed NCEA Level 2, or equivalent, and
have a minimum IELTS score of 5.5 overall with a minimum of 5.0 in each band or equivalent, if English is not your first language.
As well as meeting the academic requirements, you will have English language proficiency of IELTS 5.5 with a minimum of 5.0 in each band, or equivalent.
To do a PhD you need to have a passion and commitment for your discipline. The degree is awarded for a thesis that demonstrates your ability to carry out independent and original research. It also needs to provide a significant contribution to the knowledge and understanding of a field of study.
Entry Requirements
To enter the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme you will:
have completed a postgraduate bachelor's (honours) or master's degree with First Class Honours or Second Class Honours (Division I) B+ equivalent, or equivalent qualification
have sufficient independent research experience to satisfy the Doctoral Research Committee that you have the capacity to successfully undertake the programme.
Massey University's Doctoral Research Committee administers the PhD. Registration must be supported by the relevant Head of School/Centre who will agree to provide supervision and facilities for your research.
Please note that there are more applicants than places on the programme. If you meet the above conditions you will also go through a selection process including an interview. If successful in this process, you will be offered a place.
The Master of Philosophy aims to expand knowledge beyond the undergraduate honours or postgraduate diploma level, culminating in a research thesis. Upon completion of a master by research degree, you may apply to be considered for entry into a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program.
Our course will teach students a range of practical skills to support public health action across educational, organisational, socio-economic, environmental and political domains to improve population health.
This course builds on the curriculum of the graduate certificate to include topics in project quality, risk and procurement management and managerial effectiveness.

Massey's Master of Agribusiness is an internationally recognised qualification. You will gain the research and professional skills required across the value chain from farm production to food marketing.
Entry Requirements
To enter the Master of Agribusiness you will have been awarded or qualified for:
a bachelor's degree in agriculture or a business-related subject with a B+ grade average or higher over the qualifying 300-level courses, or equivalent, or
a bachelor's degree, or equivalent, with a B+ grade average or higher over the qualifying 300-level courses and at least three years of relevant work experience, or
a Bachelor of AgriCommerce/Agribusiness with Honours with Second Class Honours, Division I or higher or equivalent, or
a Postgraduate Diploma in Agribusiness with a B+ grade average or higher, or equivalent.
If you are applying with the work experience option, you will supply a curriculum vitae (CV) to support your application.
If you have a Bachelor of AgriCommerce/Agribusiness with Honours or a Postgraduate Diploma in Agribusiness as outlined above, you may apply for credit towards Part One of the qualification in accordance with the limits specified in the Recognition of Prior Learning regulations.
This qualification includes a 90 credit thesis. Please provide a short summary of your research interests (200 words or less) when you apply for this qualification.
Opportunities are offered at Curtin to students from abroad to undertake studies for credit to their degree at their home university but not take a degree from this University. Students participate by applying directly to Curtin. Students applying independently pay tuition to Curtin.
