Automotive One - Introduction to Vehicle Servicing

Try a range of hands-on experiences in an automotive workshop and see if being a mechanic is the right career for you. This one-day course will cover elements of small engine repairs in a practical workshop environment. This offering is for year 11-13 students only.

Automotive Two - Introduction to Engines

<div>Dual Enrolment programmes are FREE if you're in Years 11, 12 or 13 and a great way to earn NCEA credits and get a feel for tertiary study, while you're still at school. This course covers a combination of basic automotive, engineering and welding skills to start you on the road to being confident in a general workshop. During the course you'll get some experience on repair and maintenance on small engines and plant. You'll also learn to weld and grasp some basic engineering skills. This programme is delivered one day per week during school term time (Thursdays 9:00am - 3:00pm). Location: Timaru *Places are limited and funding is dependent on availability. Some courses may incur costs, depending on the learner's eligibility. Part-time 1 year (while still at school). </div>

Manufacturing and Technology Vocational Pathway (Introduction to Agriculture Engineering)

This programme is delivered one day per week (Christchurch: Fridays 9:00am - 3:00pm) (Timaru: Thursdays or Fridays 9:00am - 3:00pm).
