Construction & Engineering Taster

<div><p>Dual Enrolment programmes are FREE if you're in Years 11, 12 or 13 and a great way to earn NCEA credits and get a feel for tertiary study, while you're still at school.</p>    <p>This course covers a combination of basic automotive, engineering and welding skills to start you on the road to being confident in a general workshop.</p>    <p>During the course you'll get some experience on repair and maintenance on small engines and plant. You'll also learn to weld and grasp some basic engineering skills.</p>    <p>This programme is delivered one day per week during school term time (Thursdays 9:00am - 3:00pm).</p>    <p>Location: Timaru</p>    <p>*Places are limited and funding is dependent on availability. Some courses may incur costs, depending on the learner's eligibility. Part-time 1 year (while still at school). </p></div>

<div><p>Our Bachelor of Broadcasting Communications degree specialising in journalism is a highly practical programme providing you with the skills and theory to break news stories and be actively involved with the production of news for radio, television or online media.</p> <p>Early in your studies you'll gain a strong grounding in broadcasting and communications theory, writing and researching news bulletins for our radio station. You'll also report TV news stories for broadcast and online.</p> <p>In close collaboration with our media partners, our programme has been designed to produce graduates who will meet the needs of the industry. Our 24-week industry internship gives you more real-world experience, builds your industry contacts and gives you a real edge when it comes to securing your first job.</p></div>
