<div><p>This highly practical programme will equip you with the skills and theory necessary to become a radio professional.</p> <p>We develop your understanding of the changing media environment, your practical research skills and prepare you for a first-time position in radio or online.</p> <p>You'll study production and performance while operating a commercial radio station, broadcasting throughout the Canterbury region.</p> <p>Our programme has been strongly influenced by industry groups such as NZME, Mediaworks and The Radio Broadcasters Association.</p> <p>Our 24-week industry internship provides you with a highly effective link between the theoretical and practical aspects of broadcasting, and gives you a working understanding of the industry demands of working in a deadlinedriven environment.</p></div>

<div><p>One of the most important resources in an organisation is its people. This specialisation will develop your management skills and knowledge in people and culture. During your studies you'll analyse organisational staff behaviour and its impact on business, and learn about wellbeing leadership, health and safety and the latest employment legislation. In your final year you'll explore advanced HR strategy and contemporary issues in human resource management.</p>    <p>Flexibility has been built into this degree, allowing you to not only to study part-time, full-time and/or in the evenings, but to choose two specialisations at no extra cost and requiring no additional time. Alternatively, you can personalise your degree by including up to five elective courses (Level 5 and above, equal to 15 credits each) from any subject area of your choosing.</p></div>

<div><p>In this graduate diploma you'll develop an understanding of human resource management practices and processes and their impacts on organisational effectiveness. You'll also learn how to apply human resource management principles, tools and concepts in the workplace, to help staff and businesses meet their objectives.</p>    <p>Areas of study will include employment relations, organisational behaviour, human resource management, contemporary issues in human resource management and health, safety and wellbeing leadership. Additionally, you'll channel the knowledge and skills you acquire into a practical industry project for a local business or organisation, in which you'll address business issues or advance business opportunities.
