When you graduate from the New Zealand Broadcasting School you will be able to meet the needs of the industry from your very first day on the job. This programme is a full time 3-year degree that is delivered in 2 ½ years (including a 6-month internship). Try a range of hands-on experiences in an automotive workshop and see if being a mechanic is the right career for you. This one-day course will cover elements of small engine repairs in a practical workshop environment. This offering is for year 11-13 students only.

Automotive Two - Introduction to Engines

<div>Dual Enrolment programmes are FREE if you're in Years 11, 12 or 13 and a great way to earn NCEA credits and get a feel for tertiary study, while you're still at school. Gain an introduction to the automotive and engineering trades through hands-on experience in a range of skills including welding, collision repair, machine and hand tool operation, general engineering tasks and basic automotive servicing skills. This programme will enable you to make an informed decision about your future study and career pathways. This programme is delivered two days per week (Thursdays and Fridays 9:00am - 3:00pm). Location: Woolston, SIT *Places are limited and funding is dependent on availability. Some courses may incur costs, depending on the learner's eligibility. </div>

Manufacturing and Technology Vocational Pathway (Automotive & Engineering) Two Day DE

You'll learn how to prepare a vehicle or machine for shut down, explain the operation of two and four stroke petrol and diesel engines and how welding is used in the motor industry. This programme is delivered one day per week (Christchurch: Fridays 9:00am - 3:00pm) (Timaru: Thursdays or Fridays 9:00am - 3:00pm). Location: Woolston, Timaru *Places are limited and funding is dependent on availability. Some courses may incur costs, depending on the learner's eligibility.</div>
