<div><p>Dual Enrolment programmes are FREE if you're in Years 11, 12 or 13 and a great way to earn NCEA credits and get a feel for tertiary study, while you're still at school.</p>    <p>This programme provides the opportunity to gain basic electrical skills and knowledge to either enter a pre-trade programme or employment into the electrical industry as an apprentice. It's also a good grounding for work in the security systems and audio industries.</p>    <p>The programme covers: electrical theory; legislation and regulations; testing and safety; first aid; basic electric motors; basic use of tools; numeracy and literacy for the electrical industry.</p>    <p>This programme is delivered two days per week (Thursdays and Fridays 9:00am - 3:00pm).</p>    <p>Location: Woolston</p>    <p>*Places are limited and funding is dependent on availability. Manufacturing and Technology Vocational Pathway (Electrical Engineering) DE

<div><p>One of the most important resources in an organisation is its people. This specialisation will develop your management skills and knowledge in people and culture. During your studies you'll analyse organisational staff behaviour and its impact on business, and learn about wellbeing leadership, health and safety and the latest employment legislation. In your final year you'll explore advanced HR strategy and contemporary issues in human resource management.</p>    <p>Flexibility has been built into this degree, allowing you to not only to study part-time, full-time and/or in the evenings, but to choose two specialisations at no extra cost and requiring no additional time. Alternatively, you can personalise your degree by including up to five elective courses (Level 5 and above, equal to 15 credits each) from any subject area of your choosing.</p></div>

Bachelor of Applied Management (Human Resource Management)

<div><p>In this graduate diploma you'll develop an understanding of human resource management practices and processes and their impacts on organisational effectiveness. You'll also learn how to apply human resource management principles, tools and concepts in the workplace, to help staff and businesses meet their objectives.</p>    <p>Areas of study will include employment relations, organisational behaviour, human resource management, contemporary issues in human resource management and health, safety and wellbeing leadership. Additionally, you'll channel the knowledge and skills you acquire into a practical industry project for a local business or organisation, in which you'll address business issues or advance business opportunities. In the process, you'll strengthen your understanding of human resource management.</p>    <p>Part-time up to four years.</p></div>

Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management

<div><p>Our Bachelor of Engineering Technology (BEngTech) Electrical Major is a three year degree comprising of core and elective courses, with a focus on the design and implementation of engineering technology. The BEngTech (Electrical) is fully accredited by Engineering New Zealand (EngNZ) and is recognised internationally under the Sydney Accord.</p> <p>In your first year of study you'll develop core engineering skills in computing, mathematics, management and the engineering sciences, plus some discipline-specific topics. This forms the foundation upon which you will build your degree. Critical thinking, problem solving and innovation will be a key part of your success.</p> <p>In your second and third years you'll continue to deepen your understanding in electrical engineering and engage in projects to apply your knowledge. A capstone project is run with close ties to industry, with many projects being sponsored by key industry parties. This offers the chance to test your skills against industry standards in a real-world scenario, while building your professional portfolio and developing important industry contacts.
