It includes Electrical Regulatory Authority Council (ERAC), or their successor's, Essential Performance Capabilities for an 'Unrestricted Electrician's license'.</div></div></div><p/><div><div><div>Competency development activities in this qualification are subject to regulations directly related to licensing. Where a licence or permit to practice is not held, a relevant contract of training through an Australian Apprenticeship, may be required. To obtain an Unrestricted Electrician's Licence in most jurisdictions the qualification must be completed as an apprenticeship or Trades Recognition Australia (TRA) pathway. Where required for Licencing, the certification documentation issued must indicate if the qualification was completed as an apprenticeship or Trades Recognition Australia (TRA) pathway.</div></div></div></div>

Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician

<div><p>Dual Enrolment programmes are FREE if you're in Years 11, 12 or 13 and a great way to earn NCEA credits and get a feel for tertiary study, while you're still at school.</p>    <p>This programme provides the opportunity to gain basic electrical skills and knowledge to either enter a pre-trade programme or employment into the electrical industry as an apprentice. It's also a good grounding for work in the security systems and audio industries.</p>    <p>The programme covers: electrical theory; legislation and regulations; testing and safety; first aid; basic electric motors; basic use of tools; numeracy and literacy for the electrical industry.</p>    <p>This programme is delivered two days per week (Thursdays and Fridays 9:00am - 3:00pm).</p>    <p>Location: Woolston</p>    <p>*Places are limited and funding is dependent on availability. Some courses may incur costs, depending on the learner's eligibility. Part-time 1 year (while still at school). </p></div>

Manufacturing and Technology Vocational Pathway (Electrical Engineering) DE

<div><p>Our Bachelor of Engineering Technology (BEngTech) Electrical Major is a three year degree comprising of core and elective courses, with a focus on the design and implementation of engineering technology. The BEngTech (Electrical) is fully accredited by Engineering New Zealand (EngNZ) and is recognised internationally under the Sydney Accord.</p> <p>In your first year of study you'll develop core engineering skills in computing, mathematics, management and the engineering sciences, plus some discipline-specific topics. This forms the foundation upon which you will build your degree. Critical thinking, problem solving and innovation will be a key part of your success.</p> <p>In your second and third years you'll continue to deepen your understanding in electrical engineering and engage in projects to apply your knowledge. A capstone project is run with close ties to industry, with many projects being sponsored by key industry parties. This offers the chance to test your skills against industry standards in a real-world scenario, while building your professional portfolio and developing important industry contacts. Part-time up to 10 years. </p> </div>
