In the context of Big 4 firms, recent grads might feel that their opportunities for progression are limited after a certain point. "Better hours & work-life balance" earned a spot as the fifth most cited reason for potentially heading for the exit.
But here's an intriguing twist: despite being the top complaint among Big 4 associates, the grueling hours land only at fifth place as a reason for leaving. This suggests that while they find the hours difficult, most associates may still see them as bearable or believe that the long-term benefits outweigh the immediate drawbacks.
